The Rediscovery of My Precious Old Treasure

Pakabar, pemirsah? Damang? Dan sebelum anda membaca lebih jauh, please don't judge me from my music taste, for it goes from Imagine Dragons to G-Dragon, and from Linkin Park to Sandara Park. Forgive me.

Damn kenapa gue baru tau kalo the precious AKMU exists in this filthy world. Two genius siblings which make k-pop doesn't sound like k-pop. Why is k-pop being called k-pop, anyway?

Ngomong-ngomong soal recent discovery, sekitar dua bulan yang lalu, gue baru tau kalo NetTV udah nyampe Jogja. Dan juga RTV. Katanya udah dari lama. Dan gue gatau. Saking jarangnya nonton TV. Jadi sekarang gue kalo nonton Kelas Internasional jadi inget Wisma Bahasa Indonesia. Really. Jadi kangen bok.

Anyway. Within the rediscovery of my precious treasure (a.k.a AKMU, BIGBANG, and Lee Hi) I hereby declare that I'm on my way back to the world of handsome oppas. And jjang dongsaengs.

Gue balik lagi ke k-pop sejak drama Descendants of the Sun booming. Oke iya gue tau gue k-popers abal. Dan karena I'm a loyal listener of BIGBANG, selama BIGBANG hiatus gue gapernah lagu ngublek-ngublek korea-korean. Jadi, walaupun taun kemaren dapet notification dari youtube pas BIGBANG uploaded comeback videos, gue bodo amat. Terus apa hubungannya? Gue juga gatau.

Btw. On the recent rediscovery journey, I found several korean artists other than BIGBANG yang bak permata di antara lumpur (lumpur apaan? Ini mancing fanwar banget). They are AKMU and Lee Hi. The albums, AKMU's Spring and Hayi's Seoulite are reaaaaaaallyyyyyy pleasing to my ears. I literally only listens to their new songs for the past month. Kenapa?
Soalnya gue pernah mikir gitu haha. Dan secara korean songs udah dapet label k-pop, yang secara gak langsung menggeneralisasi semua lagu berbahasa korea, lagu-lagunya AKMU sama Hayi bener-bener bikin gue mikir dua kali tentang k-pop. Like, hey there are not only dance or lipsync genre in korean music. Ada juga genre yang lain. Like, hello, RnB is knocking, and so are Soul and Alternative. Seharusnya K-Pop genre doesn't exist. Either yang bikin genre ini adalah seseorang yang undeniably racist atau emang dia ga pernah denger any korean songs other than SNSD's and Super Junior's. Just imagine what the world would be like if there are genres like A-Pop (read: American pop) or I-Pop (read: Indonesian pop). Those region-based or language-based genre is so overwhelming, ya know. Oke maaf ga nyambung.

Jadi. The point is, listening to AKMU's RE-BYE and 사람들이 움직이는 게 (How People Move) and Lee Hi's MISSING U and 희망고문 (Blues)or just listen to the whole songs in their latest albumwon't hurt. Really. Worth a try. Personally gue kaget banget pas pertama denger RE-BYE sama MISSING U. I was like, wow, mereka bener-bener bisa compose musik kaya gini? Sooo unexpected. I underestimated korean music, I know. Mianhaeyo. Do listen to them, 사람들은! Tong hilap!

Kisses and hugs,

Hance

p.s.
Oppa (오빠) = the literally translation would be brother, however, in this case it is more like panggilan sayang fans ke idol.
Dongsaeng (동생) = younger sibling. And no, it's not common. It's just me misusing the word.

Mianhaeyo (미안해요) = maaf. Maafin aku ㅜㅜ
사람들은 =  dibaca saramdeureun. Yang berarti orang-orang. Maapin, kan lagi belajar bahasa korea.

p.p.s. Selamat ulang tahun, Saur Maruli Evan Johannes Siregar!

Hashtag Abaikan

It's been so long since the last time I posted a post. And now I'm writing again (I guess).

I haven't been writing for some reasons, which are pointless so we're not gonna see them in this post. However, I realized (fyi, realized is my favorite blog word--you know blog word? some-kind-of-word-that-you-often-use-in-your-blog-ish) that not writing for a (way too long,) long time has been driving me crazy. Lukas once said that I write when I'm upset, and when I was on hiatus, I realized (see? Set your counter and check how many times I'm using this word in this post) that it is an undeniable truth. Once I realized (doh. para dosen seharusnya menghukum saya karena saya tidak look up for synonym di thesaurus) his words are true, I started to contemplate my life and suddenly this thought came to me: I did it wrong. It is wrong that I don't write. It sucks, you know, not allowing myself to ease off. You could say there are million ways to die in the west do it, but hell, I just don't know how. Writing is more than a hobby to me. If you are a subscriber of this blog (which is impossible, and I'm writing this clause wrong I should've use the impossible clause), you know that these posts make no sense. This blog had been improperly used as a diary of a teenage girl (which is now an adult--I guess).

I once said that I envy them who write very
much. I write to seek my freedom. I'm not that kind of person who talks easily about something bothering me to other people. And I know that's not what human beings are for, and it's killing me that I just can't do that. I got depressed every time I try to speak up my mind, you know. I feel like being tortured whenever I'm forced to tell people what's bothering me. And I'm always judged whenever I try to explain to them that I have nothing to tell. And then they go blah blah blah until a new universe has been made.

Please don't misunderstand my inability to talk to people. Don't get me wrong; I'd love talking to you, you now, but I'm just done. I've had enough socializing, trying to get close to people when all what people want to do is to get rid of me. People have priorities, anyway. Therefore, I'm writing again.

Am now relaxed,

Hance

P.s. you done counting? Now close your eyes. You will feel that your eyes are so damn heavy that you don't want them to be opened. And now you're in a deep, deep sleep. You feel that you've got a nice sleep. You will wake up when I slap your face and when you're awake, you will completely forget what you have read. Have a nice day! *slaps*
